I'm Back, again!

Voltei!
Andei um pouco distante de vocês! Um mês sem vir ao blogue é demasiado tempo mas venho com novas ideias e com muita energia para voltar a escrever!
Novo ano, novos projectos e novos sonhos! O tempo também anda a ajudar! Hoje a ilha está com um sol invejável e sabendo o tempo que está no Norte, considero que sou uma sortuda.
Entretanto deixo aqui uma lista de sugestões de músicas que têm sido ultimamente a minha companhia.

Winter Favorites: Beauty!

Gosto muito do Inverno, por incrível que parece! Sempre gostei mais do frio do que o calor, mas também não gosto de temperaturas de extremos! O que aconteceu nestas duas últimas semanas nos EUA foi impressionante! Não gostava de estar lá nessa altura! Nem quero imaginar o frio! 

Aqui na ilha o tempo é fantástico, realmente! Como hoje: durante o dia as temperaturas podem chegar aos 20 graus com um sol fantástico mas à noite a temperatura desce para os 13 graus! Apesar do frio que se faz sentir, não é tão mau como o resto da Europa e é mais uma das razões pela qual adoro a Madeira! 

Hoje vou vos apresentar os meus favoritos deste Inverno na área da beleza até ao momento! 

I love Winter Season! I always liked the cold more than the heat, but I don't enjoy the extreme temperatures! What happened in the last two weeks in the U.S. was incredible! I don't even want to imagine how cold it was! If you're there, how was this cold week? 

Here on the island the weather is fantastic, really! Like today: daytime temperatures can reach 20 degrees celsius with a fantastic sun. But at night the temperature drops to 13 degrees! Despite the cold that is felt, it's not as bad as the rest of Europe... One more reason why love Madeira!

Hello December!!

E finalmente o melhor mês do ano chegou: Dezembro! Aquele mês em que tudo fica mais bonito! É o mês das festas, da família e dos amigos! É também quando acordamos às cinco da manhã para ir às missas do parto e não sentir-se mal por comer uma sandes de Carne de Vinho e Alhos com poncha antes das 8 da manhã! É quando voltamos a escrever postais para enviar para os que estão longe. É aquela semana que há jantares todos os dias nas casas de família e amigos! É a árvore de natal e a decoração da casa! É o frio, a manta e os filmes da época! É a procura do presente ideal para dar! É andar na rua bem devagar e desfrutar das luzes e decorações da cidade. É o fim-do-ano e toda a sua magia! É Dezembro.

Desejo-vos um mês fantástico! 

Finally, the best month of the year has arrived: December! That month in which everything is more beautiful! It's the month of holidays, family and friends! It is also when we wake up at 5am to go to church "Missas do Parto" and not feeling bad about eating a Sandwish of "Carne de Vinho e Alhos" (Meat in wine and garlic), and Poncha before 8am! It's when we write postcards to send to those who are far away. It is the long family dinners and night out with friends! It's the Christmas tree and home decor! It's the cold weather, the blankets, and movies! It's the search for the ideal gift to give! It's that time of the year that we walk slowly down the street and enjoy the lights and decorations of our city. It's the New Year's Eve and all its magic! It is December.

Welcome December

Bem-vindo Dezembro! O mês das festas, da alegria e da família. Com um ano tão amargurado pelas notícias negativas nada melhor do que relembrar os verdadeiros valores. É um mês de enviar mensagens e telefonarmos a amigos, reunir com a família e cumprir todas a tradições culturais. Na Madeira temos muitas tradições e todas elas são divertidas, entre amigos e familiares, e com muita e boa comida. Este mês irei vos falar sobre essas tradições e trazer-vos comigo a passear pela ilha. Espero que me acompanhem sempre.

It's with a great happiness that I welcome December! The month of festivities, joy and family. With one year so embittered by the negative news, nothing is better than remembering the true values​​. This month is the one that we must send messages and call friends, gather with family and fulfill all the cultural traditions. Here in Madeira (Portugal) we have many traditions and all of them are among friends and family, and with great and good food. This month I will tell you about these traditions and bring you with me to the island. I hope that you'll always join me.
