Quem diria que o Ben Stiller conseguia, e tão bem, realizar um filme de uma forma tão sonhadora e rica em detalhes? E a fotografia, podemos falar sobre isso? As cores e os tons usados no filme são perfeitos e os planos são fantásticos! Afinal, a história levou-me a conhecer a Islândia e a Groenlândia (apesar de não ter sido nada lá filmado, mas ficou a ideia). Para quem não viu televisão em Dezembro, porque o trailer dava a quase cada hora, o filme é baseado no conto de James Thurber e conta a história de Walter Mitty (Stiller), um sonhador nato, daqueles que para de ouvir o que o outro diz e começa a imaginar cenários (quem já não fez isto?), e que tem a missão importante de encontrar a perdida fotografia n25 para ser publicada na última edição em papel da histórica revista Life. Esta responsabilidade faz com que deixe de "sonhar acordado" para realmente fazer coisas que nunca tinha imaginado fazer. Ben Stiller cumpriu com o seu objectivo e está de parabéns! Fiquei surpreendida com tudo. Menos com a barba do Adam Scoot, mas isso já são outras conversas.
É sem dúvida um filme que me faz feliz! Desde a história, à realização e à banda-sonora. Posso dizer que estou viciada em Dirty Paws de Monsters & Men, que pensei que fosse de Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, talvez até é por isso que gosto tanto. Aconselho a ouvirem!
The Secret Life of Walter Mitty entrou facilmente na minha lista do top20, porque quando um filme consegue equilibrar fantasticamente a história dramática com a comédia, com uma realização que prestigia toda a sua arte, principalmente a fotografia! Walter Mitty mostra que é possível deixarmos de imaginar o mundo se saírmos do nosso conforto e ver o quão rica pode ser a nossa vida se realmente vivermos.
I think we all agree that Sunday is one of our favorite days and the icing on the cake is to watch a good movie in the afternoon. For me, any day is good to watch a movie and if it's The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, there is no particular time or day whatsoever. It's a fantastic movie and no doubt that this is also what makes me happy: watching a movie that can fulfill and amaze me.
Who knew Ben Stiller could direct a movie so rich in details? And the cinematography, can we talk about that? Just breathtaking! The colors and prespectives used in the movie are just perfect! After all, the story took me to Iceland and Greenland (despite all Greenland scenes were shot in Iceland, but we got the idea ) and showed me beautiful landscapes from the mountaintops of ungoverned Afghanistan.
For those who didn't watched tv last December, because the trailer was playing each hour, the film is based on the short story by James Thurber and tells the story of Walter Mitty (Stiller), a day-dreamer, who stops listening to what others are saying to start imagining scenarios full of heroic and romantic actions. Now, that the historic Life Magazine is going on-line, he has the important task to find the lost photograph nr 25, to be published as the cover of the last paper edition. This responsibility makes him to stop " daydreaming " to actually do things he had never imagined doing before.
Ben Stiller delivers the perfect story in such a perfect way! I was marveled with everything, well, not as much as with Adam Scoots' beard, but that's an other conversation.
It is certainly a movie that makes me happy ! From the story, the achievement and to the soundtrack; I can say I'm addicted to Dirty Paws by Monsters & Men. I actually thought it was by Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, maybe that's why I like so much. You should try to have a listen!
The Secret Life of Walter Mitty easily entered my top 20 list, because the movie manages to fantastically balance the dramatic story with comedy, having a director that honors the art, especially photography! Walter Mitty shows that it is possible to stop day-dreaming and imagining the world, as soon as we leave our comfort zone and see how rich our life can be.
