Welcome Autumn!

Outono! A estação mais deslumbrante que pode haver. Afinal, é aquela que tem mais cores e os dias são cada vez mais frescos. 

É a altura de mudar a roupa no vestuário, de beber bebidas quentes, de voltar a receber as séries e de começar a pensar nas festas que se aproximam.

E também, porque todas as estações servem como desculpa para nos reenventarmos, o Outono marca o início de um novo ano-lectivo e é importante aprendermos sempre. Afinal, ler livros e estudar com um clima mais frio é sempre melhor. 

Tenham uma excelente nova estação e aproveitem da melhor maneira possível. 

Autumn! The most stunning season is here! After all, it's the one that has more colors and everything is cozier. 

It's also time to rearrange our wardrobe, drink hot beverages, watch the our favorites series seasons premieres and start thinking about the holidays DIY's projects. 

Each season, as it's for new years, is the perfect excuse for reinvent our self.  Autumn marks the beginning of a new academic year and it is important to always learn. After all, reading books and studying on colder, even rainy, days is always better and more productive.

Se alguma vez precisarem de fazer uma festa de aniversário diferente, um Picnic é uma excelente solução. Além de não desarrumarmos a casa, a festa é feita na natureza e há espaço para muitos convidados. Aqui na ilha, há cenários perfeitos com excelentes condições! If you ever want to do a different birthday party, than a Picnic is a great solution. Besides the fact that we won't need to clean our house after the party, with a picnic the party will be surrounded by nature and there is room for many guests. Here on the island, there are perfect scenarios with excellent condition! Here is some details of the birthday party! The weather was great and the food.. so good! 

Fall: Home Decor!

Quem não gosta das cores do Outono? Os amarelos, os vermelhos, dourados, verdes escuros.. É uma oportunidade para mudar a decoração da nossa casa, muitas vezes usando o que já temos. Pelo menos ficamos com um ambiente diferente no nosso lar e mais aconchegante. A verdade é que aqui não temos muito a cultura de festejar o Outono tanto quanto outros países mas podemos inspirar-nos neles e mudar um pouco a nossa casa. Ficam aqui algumas ideias.

Who doesn't love the colors of fall? Yellow, red, gold, dark green... The changing of a the season it's the perfect excuse to change the decor of our house. The best part is that we can often use what we already have. Just DIY :)
At least we get a different atmosphere in our home. Truth to be told, here, where I live, we don't have the habit to celebrate the autumn's culture as much as other countries but we can be inspired to change  a little of our house. Here are some ideas.

Fashion: Fall Inspiration!

Diariamente precisamos de uma inspiração para nos vestirmos. Ainda para mais nesta altura que já nem é Verão e nem tem temperaturas de Outono, pelo menos aqui. Ainda não está clima suficientemente frio para usar botas mas já podemos deixar em casa as sandálias. É mais ao menos isto. Ficam aqui algumas inspirações para estes dias.

When we talk about getting outfits for each day of the week, we definitely need some inspiration. Specially at this time of the year: it's not summer anymore but it still doesn't have Fall temperatures, at least where I live. It's not cold enough to wear boots yet but we can leave the sandals at home. It's more or less like this.

Welcome back, Fall!

É a minha segunda estação preferida. Para mim é como um recomeço para o que pussemos de parte no verão. São os exercícios que não fízemos pela desculpa do demasiado calor que estava. É a leitura dos nossos novos livros porque a conversa com os amigos era melhor (e é na maior parte das vezes sempre melhor). É beber bebidas quentes porque os dias estão mais frios. É mudar o nosso guarda-roupa porque já não está mais calor. Tudo parece mais acolhedor nesta altura. É o início de novas temporadas das minhas séries. É o início de novos projectos.

Espero que o vosso Outono seja muito bom e com boas novidades. 

Fall, my second favorite season. To me, it's like a new beginning for what we paused in the summer. We don't workout as we should using the excuse that it was too hot outside. We don't start reading some new books because the conversation with friends was better. Fall, is when we start to have hot drinks because the days are colder. It is changing our wardrobe because the summer hot days are coming to an end. 

Everything seems more cozy now. It is the beginning of new seasons of my favorites TvShows. It's the start of new projects. How are you planning your Fall? New decor? New clothes? New Books?

Rainy Day Inspiration

Parece que nem estamos na primavera, com esta chuva e frio que se faz sentir. 
Como está o tempo onde vivem? Eu vou aproveitar este tempo para terminar uns projectos, pôr o blogue em dia e matar saudades com os meus amigos.
Tenho uma novidade para todos, já tenho o meu mestrado feito! Já tenho a tese defendida e parecendo que não é um capítulo da minha vida que levou um ponto final. Estou grata por todo o carinho e apoio que recebi durante este ano. E já agora envio  energia positiva para todos que estão na fase final de exames e trabalhos! Boa sorte ;)

Looks like we're not even in the spring. It's raining and it's cold... How's the weather in your area? 
I'll take advantage of this weather so I can finish a few projects, write a few blog posts and grab a coffe with my friends.
Btw, I have news! My Masters is done! Now that I've successfully defended my thesis, I can say that a chapter of my life has ended. I am grateful for all the love and support that I received this year.   
I would like to send also positive energy to all of you, who are in the final exams and papers! Good luck;)

Outubro é um mês de aniversários, de frutos secos e do Halloween. A verdade é que em Portugal não é por tradição festejar esta data mas podemos decorar a nossa casa com ideias simples que fazem toda a diferença. Espero que vos inspire a dar um novo ar e cheiro ao vosso lar. 

October is a month of birthdays, fruits of the season and Halloween. Even thought it isn't traditionally celebrated in Portugal, we can decorate our home with simple ideas that make all the difference. I hope to inspire you to create a new look and scent in your home.

Welcome Autumn!

É com grande alegria que dou boas-vindas ao Outono. Só a partir de hoje é que as temperaturas desceram e chove como já não víamos há meses. Esta é a minha estação preferida. É o cair das folhas, o frio, escrever e ler ao som da chuva, a mudança do guarda-roupa e a da decoração da casa.
Ainda tenho de escrever a minha lista de objectivos deste Outono mas um objectivo já está destinado: mudança da decoração de um quarto de cá de casa.

It is with great joy that I welcome autumn. Well, at least from today is the first one of the season. Temperatures dropped and it's raining as we have not seen for months. I have to say that this is my favorite season. Leaves are falling, the temperature is dropping, it's raining while I write and read, and it's time to change the wardrobe and home decor.
I still have to write my list of goals for this fall but one is already decided: paint and change the decor of a room in my house.
