Fashion: Ballet Flats

O Verão está mesmo a chegar e as sabrinas são sempre as melhores soluções para usar durante o tempo quente para o escritório. Além de confortáveis, elas são práticas e dão com quase tudo. Há imensas ofertas, desde as mais clássicas às mais modernas, com tons sóbrios e com tons super coloridos. Day 14, 15 and 16 of #100HappyDays: Food

Comida! Nesta última quinta-feira e sexta-feira os dias estavam maravilhosos, tal como toda a semana.  A primeira foto é do meu almoço que estava delicioso e saudável.

A segunda foto é do lanche das 18h que simplesmente adoro! Estas tostas mistas especiais são divinais e para mim até dá perfeitamente para uma refeição! Sem dúvida que é um bom lugar para ir depois do trabalho! Obrigada P. ;) 
A terceira é referente a Sábado, e foi este cachorro quente num dos mais conhecidos pub's da Madeira. Apesar de estar bom, e estava, é pena ter de esperar 45 minutos (!) pelo comer, mas valeu a pena pelo tempo passado com a família num sábado à noite. 

Food! Last Thursday and Friday, the weather was fantastic, has has been all week long. The first photo, 

thursday's lunch, which was delicious and so healthy. Perfect for a break of a day at the office.

The second photo, was my "afternoon snack"! These special sandwiches are divine and the place is cozy!! No doubt that is a good place to go after work! So, thank you P! ;)
The third photo was saturdays' dinner: a hot dog in one of the most popular pub's in  Madeira. Despite being good, and it was, it's a shame that we had to wait 45 minutes (!)! To much time! But, it were a 45 minutes well spent with family on a Saturday evening.

Day 13 of #100HappyDays: Travel Plans

Planear a viagem de Verão, de certeza absoluta que me faz feliz! Depois de escolhido o destino, é preciso ver o roteiro que vamos fazer, os dias que vamos ficar nas cidades e marcar os hotéis. É preciso ainda ver o carro e os melhores trajectos para fazer (quase sempre é pelos mais rápidos e directos).
Ontem foi mesmo isso que já comecei a fazer. Sou fã do Google Maps e realmente o sistema está cada vez melhor e actualizado. Depois de fazer uma pesquisa por sites especializados em turismo (Trip Advisor, Lonely Planet,...), e em blogues também, é possível ficar com uma ideia de quais são os pontos principais (Cidades, aldeias, pontos turísticos) dos países onde vamos. Depois é fazer o roteiro no google maps e ver o tempo que demora de e para cada destino e fazer uma estimativa da viagem total. Ainda falta terminar muitos pontos, mas é um processo detalhado que eu simplesmente adoro e faz-me feliz. 

Planning a roadtrip is always fun and it one of the things that makes me really happy! By now, you've probably understood that I love to travel and planning it is one of the best part. 
After picking the destination, one of the most important details is to choose the itinerary,  see in which cities we're going to stay in so we can book the hotels. We also need to pick the best rent-a-car, and by best", I mean cheapest and the best roads to the trip. 
Yesterday, that was I mainly did. I'm a huge fan of Google Maps and the system is getting better by each time I travel. After doing a search in tourism's websites (Trip Advisor, Lonely Planet, blogs and others), you can get an idea of what are the main points (cities, villages, landmarks) to go to. 
After the itinerary is done, I use Google Maps to see how long it takes to and from each destination so I can make an estimation of the total trip time. I still need to finish a few details, but it's a process that I simply adore and it definitely makes me happy.

Day 12 of #100HappyDays: Flowers

Este fim-de-semana foi mais uma época alta para o turismo na Madeira! Não é de estranhar, porque são os dias onde as figuras principais são as flores! As nossas flores! O Funchal esteve recheado com as mais diversas flores, e passear hoje pelas ruas da cidade e ver estas cores, ainda para mais com um dia digno de Verão, de certeza que me fez feliz!

This weekend was very important for Madeira! The main characters were the amazing and beautiful flowers! Our flowers! It's a fantastic time of the year to visit Funchal! There is so much to see and do! It's definitely a great time to walk in Funchal, because it's full of flowers and happiness. Seeing all those colors, certainly made ​​me happy today!

Day 11 of #100HappyDays: Coffee

O café já faz parte da rotina e faz toda a diferença, pelo menos para mim! Um café bem tirado logo de manhã é indispensável e é também o que me faz feliz!

Having a cup of coffee is mandatory every mornings, well at least for me it's! A good strong coffee in the morning is essential and it also makes makes me happy!

Day 10 of #100HappyDays: Market

Ir ao mercado no domingo sempre faz parte da tradição. Aproveitar as manhãs do fim-de-semana para ir comprar produtos regionais, desde limões, brócolos, couves, batatas (…) é sempre vantajoso. Além de ter preços mais generosos, a qualidade é, geralmente, muito melhor do que nos supermercados. Sem conservantes nem corantes, uma ida ao mercado regional, também faz-me feliz.

Going to the market on Sunday, has always been part of the tradition. Enjoying a walk in a Food Market, can be very productive, specially on weekends. Buying regional products, from lemons, broccoli, cabbages, potatoes, tomatoes, (…), has great advantageous. Besides being more affordable,  the quality is usually great. It's a fantastic way to buy healthy and natural food, and help local economy.

Day 9 of #100HappyDays: Sun!

O sol faz-me feliz! As temperaturas já estão dignas para receber o Verão e tudo fica mais bonito com o sol! Este post é referente ao dia de ontem, sábado, onde o dia estava maravilhoso. E para ficar ainda mais perfeito, terminar a tarde com um delicioso gelado (Lambeca de Maracujá @ Bilheteira)! E, claro, ter posto a  conversa em dia com a C, M e G, de certeza que fizeram com o dia fosse ainda mais feliz, só faltou a foto. 

The sun makes me happy! It looks like summer! Temperatures are increasing by each day and it's wonderful. Everything is more beautiful with the sun! This #100happydays is about yesterday, Saturday, and it got even more perfect with a delicious ice cream (Passionfruit  'Lambeca' @ Bilheteira)! And of course, catching up with C, M and G, surely made the day even happier. ;)

Day 8 of #100HappyDays: Sunset

Supostamente este post era para ter sido publicado ontem, mas já se sabe que as sextas-feiras são sempre complicadas. O momento que escolhi para retratar o que me fazia feliz, foi este pôr-do-sol que acompanhou-me durante a minha corrida. Foi uma excelente maneira de terminar a semana: 10km, 20graus, boa música (playlist New Year, New You do Spotify) e uma vista deslumbrante. 

Supposedly, this should have been posted yesterday, but we all know how Fridays are.

The moment I chose to portray what made ​​me happy, was this sunset that followed me around during my running hour. It was a great way to end the week: 10 km, 20 degrees celsius, great music (playlist New Year, New You -  Spotify) and this stunning view.

Day 7 of #100HappyDays: TvShows

Aproveitar uma manhã de um feriado para pôr as séries em dia, de certeza que me faz feliz. Hoje, por coincidência, foi um dia para ver séries de comédia e garanto que foi uma manhã muito bem passada. Não tenho nenhuma preferida, pois cada uma destas cumprem com o seu objectivo. Aconselho qualquer uma destas séries para quem quer passar uns agradáveis 20 minutos. 

Watching a few episodes of my favorites tvshows, certainly makes me happy. Today, coincidentally, it was all about comedy. I guarantee that it was a very happy morning. I can't choose which one of the picture above is my favorite: Mindy Project is all about the love life of Mindy Kalling and she is simply fantastic; Baby Daddy has a great cast and the writers sometimes are brilliant!; Mixology is somehow original and gives a new perspective to how we can do a show in just one place and one night; Modern Family is, and I think we can call it, a modern classic; and Trophy Wife is so fresh and hands down to the cast - Bert character has to ben one of my favorites of all time.  
If you want to spend 20 minutes with a great mood, watching some of these shows will make you happy.

P.s- This should've been posted early in the afternoon, but I have to say that today was also a happy day for spending the day with my family and in the evening I watched Benfica winning the Europe League semi-final! :D

Day 6 of #100HappyDays: Wear Sunscreen!

Foi numa aula de Literatura Portuguesa, tinha eu 15 anos, quando vi pela primeira vez o vídeo que falou diretamente comigo: "Everybody's Free to Wear Sunscreen". Talvez a minha professora, MB, não chegou a ter noção da importância que teve em mostrar este vídeo naquela aula. Ainda hoje agradeço e fico feliz por saber que há professores que usam o seu tempo para mostrar vídeos, que num primeiro olhar nada tem a ver com a matéria, mas que na realidade é o mais importante que podem fazer na vida: ajudar a olhar para o mundo com outros olhos! Tudo o que nos rodeia tem o seu valor. O mínimo detalhe pode fazer a diferença para tornar o nosso dia mais feliz. Ainda hoje vi uma menina a chamar a atenção de um passarinho, mas quando ele assustou-se e fugiu o olhar dela a sentir-se culpada foi impagável.
Sempre que tiverem dúvidas sobre o futuro, este vídeo pode ser uma das soluções! Sejam felizes, "wear sunscreen"!

I was 15 when I first saw this video. It spoke directly to me. It was in high School, in Portuguese Literature class. How could I forget? "Everybody's Free to Wear Sunscreen." Maybe at the time, my teacher, MB, did imagined how much importat it was to show this video to us, at least to me! I still appreciate it and I'm glad to know that there are teachers who use their time to show these kind of videos/stories (...), which at first glance has nothing to do with the subject's class, but in reality it helps them to do the most important thing they can do for us: showing us how look to the world with different eyes! Everything around us has its values. The smallest detail can make a difference to make our day happier.
