Emmys 2013

Last night was another edition of the Emmys! Thanks AXN for keeping the broadcast! For anyone who loves TV, watching the Emmys is almost a requirement. We can see our favorite actors being recognized and our favorite series to earn distinctions. It can also go the other way around, and everyone that we enjoy doesn't win anything! But that's the beauty of it!
This year I got high expectations! After all we had Neil Patrick Harris as host... But the opening was not epic. It was only "saved" by the intervention of Kevin Spacey (House of Cards) and Conan O'Brien (which for me he has done one of the best openings ever for the Emmys). Despite many morbid moments, literally, there were great victories! Laura Linney was recognized and so well deserved! Her role in The Big C was perfect and memorable. Anna Gunn beyond beautiful (the best of the night) took an Emmy for her wonderful role as Skyler White! But it's sad that Kerry Washington (Scandal) lost to Claire Danes (Homeland), after all I am part of the "gladiators" and I believed in her victory. I can not end this post without mentioning the fabulous work of Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad) and Kevin Spacey (House of Cards), that's why Jeff Daniels (The Newsroom) winning was a disappointment. Anyway it was a good Emmy Awards, with one of my favorite series winning in the major categories, Modern Family and Breaking Bad!
